When establishing Escape Divers, we were faced with 1 big decision - which diving agency should we teach? The 2 biggest agencies had their obvious benefits, but they didn't align with our vision of what we wanted to achieve and how we wanted to teach. So we researched further and came across the fastest growing agency globally - RAID. We did our due diligence, but it wasn't until after we started working with RAID that we realised just how good and forward thinking their methods are. They support us in teaching a very high level of diving and help us to create some incredible divers. We are proud of the divers we create.

So what are the differences:

- We teach in neutral buoyancy from day 1. Our students NEVER kneel on the bottom of the ocean to do skills.

- We teach more theory. This may sound like a chore, but if you know the physics of diving, then the diving itself becomes easier.

-Flexible teaching. If you struggle with a skill, we can move on and return to it later, the skills do not have to be completed in order.

- FREE online learning. You can study any diving course theory at any time totally free of charge.

- Support. We get tremendous support from the whole team at RAID and actually have a voice within the agency when we give feedback.

Does being a RAID diver have a negative impact diving globally?

The short answer here is No, it doesn't at all! All of the main agencies, including RAID, are governed by the RSTC. We therefore have to recognise each others certifications. So any PADI diver can dive at our centre and vice versa, the same applies with SSI, TDI, SDI, BSAC, NAUI and a whole host of other agencies! You can even change agencies through your career. You could do your open water with RAID, your advanced with PADI, your Rescue with SSI and then your divemaster with RAID, or any combination!
