One of the founding owners and one of the diving instructors. Jon was born in the UK and after serving for several years in the RAF, he travelled the world learning from different cultures in different industries. He most recently ran a hugely successful Audio Visual and events company in the South East of England before the pandemic destroyed the industry. He certainly has the pedigree and experience to ensure Escape Divers becomes one of the top dive schools in Thailand.

Josh is Escape Divers' lead instructor. After serving in the British Army with distinction, Josh used his resettlement to train in the UK to become a diving instructor. He had been on Koh Tao working as a PADI OWSI when he was introduced to Jon and Iona. It was quickly established that the 3 had very similar beliefs on how SCUBA should be taught and how businesses should be run, so when he was offered the opportunity to become Escape Divers'  lead instructor, he jumped at the chance! Josh is completing his RAID crossover in early January 2023.

Angie is the newest team member at Escape Divers. After working for various dive centres around the island, she decided to settle with Escape to help it evolve. Working on land to ensure the smooth running of the operations, and being the only team member fluent in both English and Thai, Angie's value to the company is immense. 

An avid diver currently certified to advanced level, Angie is planning to become a dive professional by qualifying as a divemaster in the near future.

Jenny started diving in 2018 and after racking up a tonne of dives in exotic locations like The Maldives, The Philippines and Indonesia she found her way back to Koh Tao during the pandemic where she completed her Dive Master. Jenny previously worked as a teacher in China for five years and speaks some conversational Mandarin. Underwater you are likely to find Jenny searching for her favourite yellow spotted box fish, hunting for macro life & dancing every time she sees something cool! You will never lose Jenny underwater if you are part of “team pink fins!”

Sebastian,"The technician“ started his second career as a diver on Koh Tao, he came to Koh Tao and felt in love with diving and the island. 

So he cancelled his flight back home, his Engineering Job and became a professional diver. 

Ever since he‘s working with different dive shops and proceeds in his diving education parallely to become a instructor. 

Besides as well he solves issues with Kompressors, Engines or Motorbikes if needed :)

Anna was Escape Divers' very first volunteer! She grew up in Catalonia and worked there for several years as a physicist!

Anna soon decided that she wanted to see what else the world had to offer, so packed her backpack and jumped on a plane. Soon after arriving in Thailand, she made her way to Koh Tao. As she walked up the street, she couldn't resist the smiles of the newly adopted puppies and quickly joined them in the Escape Divers shop. 

Anna stayed with us for a couple of weeks and was a fundamental part of our initial set-up phase. She is greatly missed by everyone, but will always be a valued member of the Escape family. We're hoping she may return in the near future.
